It took another year for the first sites to finally launch. The law that regulates online gambling within the state, the Lawful Internet Gaming Act, came into effect in late 2019. Michigan may not have been one of the pioneering states for online gambling like New Jersey of Nevada, but today it is one of the biggest states in terms of revenue and it offers the most comprehensive access to online casino games, sports betting, poker, and fantasy sports.
